The best of French food within a few minutes of the hotel Kayser's croissants and pain au chocolat for breakfast, lunch at the Fauchon tea room or a picnic from Hediard, dinner at Senderens

Eiffel Tower We made reservations in advance to have lunch in the Jules Verne restaurant and skipped the crowds by going straight up to the restaurant and to the top of the tower. The restaurant is fabulous! It's pricey and you should "dress" even for lunch. But the quality of the food rivals the view and it's a great way to kick off the trip to Paris. Make sure you call for reservations as soon as you know you are going to Paris -- window tables are reserved up to 3 months in advance. Every table has a good view however. We were able to get reservations in slow season 2 weeks in advance so it's worth a try even if your trip is just around the corner! Two things you should know: (1) Ask about the fixed price menu -- otherwise you will be charged a la carte. We received menus with no prices and believed we were choosing from the fixed price menu but that was not the case. (2) This is a great place for children IF they are well behaved and have good table manners. But no children's menu.

Museum Pass Buy the Paris Museum Pass to save time at each museum and save money. You can use it at the Louvre, Musee D'Osay, Pompidou and Versailles.
