In September I went back alone to visit friends in Paris. So I booked the same hotel des Fontaines again. I booked a double room so that my friend from Paris could sleep over after we went out at night. However, he had to work early the first 2 days of my stay so he went home at night. I had the double room for myself.
The 3rd night he quickly came with me to my room to fetch something from the room. The man behind the reception desk came after us and told my friend he wasn't welcome...?! No visitors allowed! I was speechless... I told him it would be short but then I realized that I paid for 2 people and my friend was the 2nd person in the first place! He had the fullest reason to be there!! The man insisted that my friend left the hotel. I wanted to talk to the man of the hotel but he refused to discuss. He kept talking French. I speak a little French but it's not enough to discuss however. I was very frustrated, appalled, and speechless. Is this French hospitality? I call it a rip off.
The next morning I had to pay for 2 persons, (note: I slept the 3 days alone!) and the mister behind the reception did as if nothing had occurred.
I never go back there! And I advise no-one to go there either. Impolite, no hospitality, rude people.
