I stayed at a studio owned by Hotel de Lille- (rue de Pelican) which was situated right around the corner on rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau, from May 16th until June 4th and simply adored every minute of my stay! Both the hotel and the studio are situated in the first arrondissement, which is only a few minutes walking distance from Le Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, La Seine, Les Halles, Centre Pompidou, etc... You are in the heart of Paris and the hotel rates for the first arrondissement are incredibly affordable ! The manager Monique and assistant manager Khaled of Hotel de Lille- (rue de Pelican) were very kind, helpful, friendly and they made me feel like I was part of their family. My studio was simply very charming, (queen size bed) with little kitchen (sink and fridge), as well as a small dining table for two. Television was also included. The bathroom was equiped with very new shower. There was daily room service with daily change of towels and the sheets and bed covers were changed every three days. Hotel de Lille- (rue de Pelican) offers free internet services as well and a delicious continental breakfast for a very small fee. The rooms and decor of both the hotel and studio are reminiscent of an era where charm and elegance were still abound. I was right next to a Bakery, Pizzeria, Chinese, Lebanese, plenty of French restaurants and there was also a laundry mat right next to my studio. Both Hotel de Lille- (rue de Pelican) and its studio, which is situated on rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau are simply jewels that must not be overlooked !
