The fares were really great. The shower was the BEST SHOWER I HAVE EVER TAKEN IN MY LIFE [not a joke]... there is an adorable little bakery right around the corner that makes the best eclairs and it is 10 steps away from the Jaures stop on metro #2. It has a pretty convenient location... Also the staff was VERY friendly though they did not speak very much english. There is no lock out time and it is more like a hotel than a hostel which is what everyone seems to think it is. My friend and I were there for 10 days and loved every minute of it... the room was small but cozy and I would LOVE to go back to paris because it is beautiful and I wouldn't stay anywhere else! DEFINATELY worth the trip and the money... It is not luxury, like I said, but for people on any sort of budget it is PERFECT. I have been gone for 5 months and I miss it everyday.

Top Local Tips for Paris

If you have bad knees and/or difficulty walking or using stairs... Take the busses instead of the metro. Not all metro stations have escalators or elevators, and even the ones that do don't always have those things working. The busses are much easier to get on and off if you have bad knees. In fact, I saw nearly no elderly on the metro (just a few, now and then). I only saw the elderly when I rode the bus.
