I was staying with my father, so I specifically requested a room with 2 separate twin beds. I even emailed the day before checking in to verify. I was told there would be 2 single beds, but when i arrived the 2 single beds were pushed together - thereby negating the fact that they were "separate." I understand that this may be the way single beds are presented in the city, but I wish that the hotel would have told me when I specifically asked.
When checking in, the front desk gave me attitude when I asked about the beds. I didn't want to argue the point, so I let it go.
The room itself and the bathroom were nicely decorated and clean, if cramped. However, the showerhead in the shower is not stable in its holder. It fell out of the holder when the water was turned off for both me and my father. When it happened to me, the heavy showerhead landed directly on my foot, leaving a bruise that is still there over a week later.
As for the region, yes this hotel is close to the champs elysees, but the street it was on did not feel especially clean or safe at night.
The hotel is really nicely styled, and a fairly good value and might be right for a couple (tho it's not overly romantic) or a girls weekend, but don't expect any extras or any outstanding customer service!
It wasn't the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel, but I won't be going back.
