Room 507 - excellent view of Eiffel Tower

We stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon. The service was excellent from the start of our holiday to the finish. We requested room 507 as we had read an earlier review. We were so happy with this room.
Not only does the room have a spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower but it is vast. The room and bathroom as was the rest of the hotel exceptionally clean and smelt marvellous. We were very impressed with the breakfast, not only was there a buffet of various fresh croissants, pain du chocolate and rolls, but we had yoghurts, cheese, cereal and fruit juice and coffee, chocolate and tea. The buffet was open to being visited as many types as you wished and was replenished with fresh food frequently.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, but most of all trustful and honest.

The hotel was very central and we walked on foot to all the major highlights of Paris.

We thoroughly recommend this hotel as it is extremely good value for money. We hope to revisit for our anniversary next year.

I'm a usual customer of Hotel Grenelle and since their renovation in April 2005 I can insure everyone that this is one of the best levels of quality/price hotel you can find near the Eiffel Tower. The staff is very friendly and rooms fully equipped with desk and WI-FI connections. I want to answer to Sandra & Kevin about the plugs!!!! 2 plugs under your desk, one above and one for your shaver...For the noise: ask for a room on the backyard and half of their rooms are with showers! Kevin & Sandra need a 4stars hotel but the price is not the same.

The Hotel Grenelle is a very good value hotel for its location and services.

The food was very poor. Could not charge camcorder no sockets. Room one very noisy at night. There is no shower only a very small bath. Paris is a fantastic city.

Top Local Tips for Paris

Paris Visite travel pass Buy one of these at the airport - it will get you to and from the airport and you can use it on the bus, metro, urban railway etc. You also get reduced entry to a lot of places.

Getting the Train from the Airport The RER Train signs are everywhere, leading you from the arrival terminal to the train station to transport you into the city.....Just make sure you have 16.00 EURO in change so you can purchase the ticket from a machine rather than joining a LOOOONNNNGG que which we had to do as we had no smaller change.....Lesson learnt!

Transportation Pass Bring an ID size picture so you can use that to buy the Cart Orange, which will soon be replaced by the Navigo.
