Very dissapointed

This hotel is not as is advertised on its website. It claims to be refurbished, but it is not. It is very dirty. The staff are not helpful. We booked to stay from 7-10th Nove 2008, after confirmation that I use a wheelchair with the hotel they said that they would make my stay nice. They could have said that it would be impossible then b/c I would have booked somewhere else. After travelling from 3am until 3pm, we arrived to find a large step outside which I could not negotiate. The receptionist came out, looked at me, quoted the email she sent and walked away. A member of the cleaning staff then came out, stood in front of where I was sitting and lit up a cigerette and blew smoke over me. When I moved myself back, she then moved behind me and did the same again. My hubby asked to see the room, he was shocked it was very dirty, the red bed cover had stains all over it, the bed was all scratched, the room was dirty, light fittings were broken off the wall. The lift had rubbish in it, the whole hotel was filthy. I do not know which was worse, the access or the dirt.
We left the hotel at 3:45pm and it took until 7:30pm to find somewhere else. My hubby had to push me in the wheelchair and try and carry luggage around busy streets.

Dirty room and bathroom. I do not recommend this hotel. It is a nightmare!

Top Local Tips for Paris

Monet's house and Garden, Giverny Make sure you get here early, and if going by train leave even earlier (we missed the train and had to get a taxi). This is well worth going to if you are a Monet fan, we went in May and the gardens were beautiful. But it can get very busy, especially when coachloads of Japaense tourists arrive so if you want that photo of yourself on the bridge over the water-lillies then you need to get there before the rush.

Saving coupons When you buy yourself a travel card (approx 38 euros for 3 days zone 1-6), you get a little savings booklet, which is very useful for attractions like Arc d'Triomphe and similar places.

Wrap up Warm In November Paris is very cold and wet, make sure you take plenty of warm jumpers and a water proff coat, also wear comfortable flat shoes as there is alot of walking and many nice places to see,
