Top Local Tips for Paris

Metro Buy books of 10 metro tickets at a time, you're never more than 500 yards from a metro station in Paris so it will get you anywhere and it's just as easy as the London underground to use!

Eiffel Tower If you are wanting to go up the Eiffel Tower in the evening make sure you give yourself at least 2 hours. My group waited in line for and hour and a half and didn't even get to go to the top.

One Hour Boat Tour on the Seine There are several one hour boat tours on the Seine... many leave from the docks near the Eiffel Tower, but there are several other places. I like Bateux Parisiens, at 11 Euros not a bad price, but even better if you show a valid Eurail Pass you get 50% off. Also, they leave from two places - below the Eiffel Tower and across the river from Notre Dame. You can catch one of these late in the evening during the summer months starting in late May. Enjoy.
