Great Hotel

A Great little hotel in a great area for exploring the delights of paris. loved it. Paul from Wakefield

An ok crash pad

from holiday003
We stayed at the Elysees Ceramic over the August bank holiday weekend. Overall value for money : it was ok as a crash pad and base to see the city and is conveniently located near the Ard d Triomphe.
The rooms are small but clean - except they smelt of cigarette smoke. (We weren't offered a non-smoking room and I don't think there are any as the concierge was happily smoking away in the reception while dealing with guests.) Also - the photo's on the hotel website do not reflect the standard of room we were given which was dated and small.
Breakfast was good but very busy and you sometimes had to wait for a table to be cleared. (Might have just been a busy weekend.)
On the whole - not a bad hotel to use as a base if you plan on spending most of your time sightseeing in the city.

Great Paris Hotel

from A TripAdvisor Member
We just returned from France and actually stayed at the Ceramic Hotel 2 different times during our stay there. This is an all around great hotel and great bargain (book on their website for the best deals). The hotel is very close to 2 metro stations and the Arc de Triumphe. It is in a great location. The rooms are good sized (for French standards), nicely decorated and very clean. The front desk is exceptional, especially "Reda". He was very helpful and went out of his way for us. We will definitely stay here again.

They went out of their way for us

from RST65
Just got back from staying at the Elysees Ceramic Hotel for one week. Everyone who worked at the hotel spoke very good English. They accomidated us in every way they could. I am so happy to have stayed here. It's very good value for the money. The neighborhood is not touristy. Very good quiet location. Paris was beautiful and the people were amazing everywhere we went. The were happy to see they Americans coming back to the city. I would stay defintely stay at the hotel again because of the staff. Thank you!!!!

Excellent place with great location!

from Wisali
We stayed at this hotel for a weekend break. As been mentioned on this website before me, the location, the staff and the hotel itself were great and an excellent value for money.
Go for it without hesitation.

Loved It!!!

My two sisters and I stayed for a week and loved it. The location is great, the rooms are quite large, the breakfast was delicious and the service was wonderful. I'll stay there the next time I'm in Paris.

Nice hotel, nice location, nice staff

from rpjunk
First off, the rooms are small as said elsewhere but this is common in France. We stayed in a double room and it is definitely not big enough for more than 2 people but plenty adequate for 2 adults. The room was keep very clean and the maid staff seemed excellent. We are picky people so if it made us happy most others would be also. I do wish the bed had been larger but we slept fine so no big complaint here. (see picture of bed)

The staff is excellent. Very friendly and helpfull. They really seem to be glad you are there which is as it should be given it's a hotel. The location is extremely convenient being just down the street (ie: 3-4 minute walk) from the Arc de Triumph and 2 Metro stations, as well as the Air France bus from the airport. Getting to any of the major sites in Paris or the airport from this hotel is easy. No need for cabs. Just the metro or the airport bus.

The location of the hotel also seems to be an upscale area so no problems feeling safe here. Additionally, there is a fresh fruit and vegetable market a short walk from the hotel with great offerings. I only wish we could get fresh fruit and vegetables like that in our local Publix or Kroger. Oh well.

In short, this hotel will save you money and you won't regret it unless you for some reason need a very spacious room.

Loved the hotel

from A TripAdvisor Member
We loved this hotel. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly and knowledgeable. The location is excellent, as everything (shops, restaurants, etc.) is close. Metro stops, Tennes and L'etoile, are very close as well. Breakfast and room are good. Our room has a view to Arc de Triumph. A good short walk led us to the Avenue Champs-Elysees. We DEFINITELY recommend this hotel.

Great Hotel Great Location for Business or Pleasure

from A TripAdvisor Member
My two buisness friends and I stayed at this wonderful hotel on a stop over during a recent business trip from Australia to Europe and the three rooms were excellent. The location was perfect for a quick sight seeing trip around Paris!
The hotel rooms were clean, neat and tidy and had everything I needed. The rooms had balconies with a sensational view to the Arc de Triomphe (just like the website photo).
The Hotel staff were very helpful and patient with my very poor french language skills.
The breakfast area was attractive and the food yummy!
I would recommend the Elysees Ceramic Hotel and would seek a larger room for a longer stay but it may not have access to a balcony.

Very nice indeed!

I stayed at Elysees Ceramic last november, and am going back there next month. The location is great for a shopping spree down Champs Elysees. Staff is very friendly, willing to help with anything. Although to get hot water I did have to go to the lobby for refill. Best thing that me and my mom will never forget is the fabulus Asian restaurant just a few doors up the street. Alas, cheap(er) food in Paris!

Last words, the cheapest deal you can find for this hotel online is at the hotel's official site itself. I booked mine for 120Euros only for a twin room!

Top Local Tips for Paris

bus to airport There is a bus that goes directly to the airport and the location is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. It is an Air France bus, but anyone can take it. It is a little more expensive than the metro, but so much more convenient and it is much less money than a taxi to the airport

You need to be able to climb steps to take the subway While the Metro is a fantastic way to get around Paris, if you have trouble walking or going up or down stairs, you may want to consider taking the bus.

Eiffel Tower Plan your visit to the Eiffel Tower around 2 p.m. as the queues will be shorter and often they close the top level if too many visitors are there. Also if you plan a visit to Moulin Rouge to pre-book before you travel as there is a waiting list!
