Barely sufficient location, but beware their integrity. They confirmed my reservation indicating a total amount for 5 nights plus breakefast, but when we payed the bill they required an additional amount for breakfast. This is a copy of THEIR confirmation:
"1 x Single room. large bed, shower, courtyard - 5 night(s) 1 x Triple room with shower or bath, 3 pers. on Street - 5 night(s) 4 x Breakfast
Total amount: 1320 euros"
They billed more than 1.500 € and commented THEIR confirmation saying: "Yes is escribe 4 breakfast for explication of your reservation but is it not describe BREAKFAST INCLUDED"
No more words.....

Actual room did not come close to those pictured on web site. Think YMCA! Very clean, nice toilet/shower. Lots of traffic noise late into the night. Helpful staff and great neighborhood.

We are a family of four 2 adults and 2 children. Our experience was wonderful. The front desk staff knew english and were very helpful. They told us the best ways to get around the transit system (fastest, easiest and inexpensive). All the staff Always greeted us with the smile and were helpful as can be. The beds were full size but very comfortable and our view was great. When we opened the window to our right was the Eiffel Tower in its grandeur. Area around it is safe. My husband, myself, and the kids were walking around the area until midnight almost every day there and never saw any shady characters or rif rafs.

As stated in other articles, Mr Eber and the rest of his staff go out of their way to make your stay in Paris a pleasant one. Excellent location. Will stay there again.

I stayed here with my 2 aunts and 2 cousins for one week in April 2005. Except for my one aunt, none of us had ever been to Paris before and we were all really happy at this hotel. We didn't want to leave the hotel OR Paris! It's near the Eiffel Tower and we could see it from our rooms on the street side. Simple to get around to anyplace in town and safe. Mr. Eber and everyone is super friendly, give really clear directions and help alot even if you can't speak french! We all want to go back again soon. It's definitely a cute place and I loved the elevator and the breakfasts. I can't wait to take my best friend back there when we graduate from high school!

We stayed 7 days in march 2005. The elevator is very unique. check out the web site it is great. The staff are very friendly and the people working the front desk speak english. We had a street side room and yes the streets are noisy (with your window open, but the windows are double sided and make a huge difference. The water pressure is very good and the water stayed hot. No complaints, I would stay there again. The price is very reasonable, the neighborhood is safe and full of anything you could want. Two grocery stores close by.

Top Local Tips for Paris

Take a taxi into Paris It's worth the 55euros...because you are rested...and not lugging baggage onto and off of the metro and buses.

Use the Metro We were advised not to use the Metro because there are pickpockets and you can't see the city. I say if you are from a city where you already use a Metro, use the one in Paris. You will save so much time and money. You can zip from the Eiffel Tower to the Louvre to the Notre Dame in minutes. Sure you miss the sights in between, but that's not what you're in Paris for, is it? When you have time, you walk, you see the parts of Paris you want to. But for getting home after walking all day, the Metro. For getting quickly from point A to point B, it can't be beat.

St. Michel Area If you are looking to hang out in 'real Paris' head over to the student area near St. Michel-Notre Dame. Its touristy because of the cathedral, but if you walk toward Odeon in the 5/6 arrondisement, you get a glimpse of student life.
