First of all ... this hotel is very good value for money. It is in a great location with nice looking rooms that have all you need for a weekend break.
However ...
At 4.30 am the firealarm went off, so we got dressed and headed for the fire exit. Some of the light switches in the stairs did not work, there was lots of equipment piled up in the stairs so sometimes we had to squeeze past. Then we got down to what seemed to be the ground floor. Here the ligths didn't work at all so it was pitch black. We found the fire door, but it was not possible to open it! Luckily for us there was no fire and the alarm stopped at this point.
We went back to the reception and told the person there, his response to our complaint was; but it doesn't matter that the door didn't open, there was no fire!
If they can sort this problem out the hotel is great, otherwise I would be careful with going there!

If you're considering staying at this hotel please take my advice and don't! After arriving at 1pm we were told that our room wouldn't be ready till 2.30, when I expressed my need to change into my suit for a business meeting I had at 2.00, the miserable lady at reception just shrugged and said I could use the toilet downstairs, which obviously was not ideal (grotty and overheated with poor lighting). When we finally got to our room/shoebox, (apparently newly refurbished according to the rather indulgent website) our view too overlooked a bunch of offices, our bed was dirty, there was one tiny cupboard that had clearly been put together by a 5 year old and had about enough space for a suit and possibly a shirt, wall paper was peeling, the bath tub had long black hairs in it and there was just one towel. Clearly the 'double room' we'd booked and paid for was in fact a single room and the cleaner hadn't been informed that we were being ripped off and to add another towel. Horrible!......

I stayed there in deck 2003 and the room was nothing like the advertised pictures on the website at the time, very disappointed with the room for the price we paid.

Staying at the Daunou Opera in Paris was a treat! Our room was clean, large and very comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. The hotel is in the center of Paris and allows the visitor walking access to all the best sites AND great restaurants. Thanks for a wonderful visit!
