Nice Location, Great Staff!

Very nice location and rooms (a little small, but still nice). The only problem I had was that either the air conditioning wasn't working or there was none, so we spent every night with the window open. There was a 24 hour pizza place right outside and I got about an hour of sleep each night. This is a very nice hotel if you're only looking for somewhere to spend the nights, and there is a very friendly hotel cat that lives downstairs. Great staff, too!

Good location. Basic hotel

We found the location to be perfect. In a nice area with cafes, subway, internet, laundromat etc. The people were nice. Room okay. However the room was small and the shower wasn´t great. Pillows were uncomfortable. Breakfast items were´t replenished regularly enough requiring us to ask for more on a couple of occassions.

We stayed at the Cosmos and found it very clean, comfortable and very reasonable. The breakfast was excellent and we ended up having a good start to each day we were there, enjoying the variety of offerings and the pleasant eating area. Staff was very helpful.

Probably one of the best deals in Paris. Nice hotel, nice stuff, safe area, the inner downtown is in the 15min walk in distance or the metro is a 1min walk in distance. We would definitely choose it again and we will!

Great hotel

We were in Paris in October 2006 and had reserved the Cosmos Hotel exclusively based on the reviews we had read here. We found the hotel great: clean, nice, well-located, and the price was fantastic. Breakfast was delicious and abundant (cereals, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, delicious bread and croissants plus some cheese and yogurt). The staff were very polite and the location very convenient as the nearest subway station, Parmentier, is a 2-minute walk or less from the hotel. If you are looking for a clean budget hotel, we highly recommend this one.

Enjoyed our stay

We booked the hotel for a short break after reading the previous reviews. Really enjoyed ourselves - clean, friendly and a lovely breakfast. Although its a bit out of the centre, we found it an advantage, as there are lots good value restaurants within a short walk (Chinese on Ave Republique did a great lunch and Restaurant Astier was great for the bourgois blow-out - my 8-year old ate a 4 course adult meal because the food was so good!) Would use this hotel again

Booked this hotel purely as a result of reviews seen here. It was as we hoped and as described. Although we could have done better by not having a room adjacent to the lift,the price and service were top notch. Claire and Gerard dont speak that much English but if like me you can,they are most acccomadating. Its in a pretty good spot, 5 mins from Parmentier Metro and there are restaurants/bars all around. Our room was on top floor so we had no street noise. Merci Bien

All the members of the staff (incl the cat) are really nice. I guess you cannot get more for this reasonable price, as the rooms are clean and big enough, bathroom is nice, we liked breakfast, and the location is also excellent. Not to mention the staff members who helped us a lot concerning our flight back home: our airline confused us with changing dates and times in the last minute, bit "Cosmo's" clarified all that through several lengthy telephone conversations with the airport and the airline. Thanks again!

Perfect Budget Hotel!

My husband and I and our two kids stayed in this hotel for four days in April. It turned out to be one of our favourite hotels - the staff was wonderful, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast was delicious (croissants, baguettes, jams, cheeses, coffee, tea, orange juice, hot chocolate). On our last day, my daughter left her wallet in the foyer with 50 euros inside. A family member emailed the hotel for us and the hotel said they'd found the wallet and were happy to mail it to us. It showed up a few days after we returned from Europe along with all of her euros. We highly recommend this hotel if you're visiting Paris and want to stay within your budget.
