Luxurious and Noisy!
The lobby is beautiful! The location right in front of the train station is handy. Starbucks is right next door for the addicts. I loved the bathrooms with large windows opening to the outside. Here comes the negative part. First they didn't seem to know about my Hotel.com reservation. My credit card was charged two months before my stay. I was asked to wait briefly and they did place me in a room which turned out to be next to the maids locker / service elevator. Endless noise, loss of sleep. I complained and the next night they gave me an upgraded room at no additional charge - Great!, until 8am the next morning. I was awakened by doors slamming! At first I thought I was having a bad dream then fully awake I went out to the hall. The maids were letting the spring loaded doors slam shut one after the other! I got there with my husband and our little boy. The hotel was satisfactory BUT i really believe they have a "taste problem". The hotel room wasn't quite up to our expectations, however, the bathroom was reaaallly outdated. The staff were a little rude (Usual for Paris from what i've been told). Overall 6 out of 10.
