Clean, well-located, gorgeous view

We stayed at the Hotel Cluny Sorbonne from Oct. 1-4, 2005 and were very satisfied. We had room 53, which had a great view over the rooftops, the Sorbonne and the Pantheon. The room and the bathroom were small, especially the bathroom, but very clean. The breakfast (6) consisted of corn flakes, yogourt, coffee or chocolate, croissants, marmalade and baguette. The staff was helpful and courteous. Excellent location, on a quiet, side street with several restaurants in the area. One negative: The walls are thin.

Top Local Tips for Paris
Fabulous traditional french cooking One of my favorite meals on this trip was at the Auberge de la Reine Blanche at 30, Rue Saint-Louis en L'ile. I highly recommend this small restaurant for anyone who really wants to taste what French cuisine is about (cooked with heart and soul) at a good price. This place is a gem and I will return on my next trip.
Visiting Try walking as it's possible from this hotel to see many of the sight without using public transport.The Metro is very close but try using the excellent bus service to see the city
