I travelled to Paris last minute for a spot of shopping over the weekend. We had booked into the Claridge Bellman for both Friday and Saturday evening through lastminute.com. Unfortunately, on arrival at about 10pm on Friday, they had overbooked,and there were no rooms available.
We were put into another hotel two streets away, and asked to return the following day. The other hotel was also lovely, so no problems there.
On arrival at the Claridge Bellman, we were shown to a premier suite, and a bottle of champagne was put on ice for us that evening free of charge. The staff were very apologetic, and although we were not very annoyed by the situation, they really went out of their way to make our stay fabulous.
The hotel is situated about 2 minutes walk from the Champs D'elysee, a great place to be! There are a few good pubs and clubs around there (be willing to spend a bit of cash if you want drinks), open until all hours of the night. There is no noise, the hotel room was......
