Service is really bad!

Uncomfortable sofa bed & service is really bad. More than worst especially, young girl who had a big black spot on her mouth, she was talking so rudely. It was unacceptable. I Complained to manager but Never got any feedback. Not even say sorry. I was to stay there about 2 weeks. If you don't care about service, come here.

I've previously stayed at the Citadines in St Germain des Pres, and confidently expected this one to be as comfortable. It was not. When I booked, I was offered two rates for what appeared to be the same facilities, a studio for one or two people. Naturally, I accepted the lower rate. Big mistake. The bed was a sofa bed which came apart into two of the most uncomfortable and sagging singles imaginable. The room contained one hard chair - note the easy chair in the hotel's pictures? We did not get one. The kitchenette had no work surface, which made it very difficult to cook, despite the proliferation of utensils. I ended up using the hob as a chopping board. Plus, to add insult to injury, the receptionist accidentally cancelled out computerized key on the third night. We arrived back exhausted to find we couldn't get in.

Top Local Tips for Paris

Groceries After exiting the Catacombs, we found a grocery store at 63 Rue Ducouedic, we bought some pretty good red wine for 1 Euro and camembert for 1.59 Euros.

Museum Pass We only noticed the museum pass on our second day by which time we had already visited a couple of the locations included. With hindsight I wished we had bought it in advance or on arrival as it would have saved us lots. If you do decide to pay for each attraction at the gates note that in lots of places under 18s are free .... we bought tickets at machines a couple of times before we noticed little signs indicating that kids were free. Every Euro counts ! Also the CitySights bus tour is a little expensive but if you but in the morning and hop on and off all day it is well worth the money and a fabulous way to get your bearings around this great city. Enjoy !

Museum Pass Buy the museum and Metro pass before you get to Paris it saved us time, and money, even though we didn't see everything that the museum pass gets you into it was great to have especially at Versailles. The most romatic thing we did was pack picnic supper and headed to the Eiffel Tower supper romantic if you can get over the other hundreds of people enjoy the tower at night too.
