This hotel is NOT a good destination. The bedding and rooms were filthy... The bathroom smelled and the front desk reception was not courteous.... Do not stay at this hotel.....

This hotel is fraught with problems. From room doors that cannot be opened from inside to dirty linens to filthy bathrooms with blood stains, the Cactus is a hotel to avoid. The staff was not cooperative and we were refferd to as troublemaking Americans. We have refused to pay for our stay and have a claim placed with American Express......

The Cactus is totally misrepresented. It is not clean, the doors do not lock properly, and there was blood staining in the bathroom. My family could not live with this filth and we had to make a Hotel change on our first night in beautiful Paris.....

My husband and I, along with my mother, stayed at the Cactus hotel in 2002. This hotel is far from luxury, but very good for the price. The beds were comfortable and the neighborhood didnt seem scary. This hotel also has a tv and bathroom in the room, which is rare for the price range. The room was a bit small yet neat and clean. We actually walked to the Eiffel Tower. They also have a great free breakfast, with a coffee/hot choc. machine. Don't let the cheesy fake cactus in the front scare you!
