This hotel is well located, the rooms are first rate, the staff is excellent, and the food is really good. We had a one-day break in our stay (we took the train from the adjacent Gare Montparnasse to Lourdes and return) and the hotel happily stored our unneeded baggage. There are several excellent restaurants within 200 m of the hotel, the Metro is close, and there's a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower down a nearby street. This is an excellent place to stay when visiting Paris.

Even though our stay was only two nights we really felt at home in this hotel. It was very comfortable and there was nothing that the staff could have done to make our short stay more Pleasant. I would recomment this hotel to everyone.

Bleu Marine Paris Montparnasse Hotel in Paris is a really nice place to stay. It's well located and in close proximity to the railway station, to the buses going to the airport and to Paris centre. This is perfect, especially, when you want to visit the city.

The rooms are excellent, well equipped and quiet. One of the best things of this hotel is the breakfast. The restaurant is quiet and really nice and the food is amazing. People working there are kind and nice.

Despite the fact of being in the middle of the city, the hotel is quiet and it allows you to be relax if this is what you are looking for.

Good hotel

from stanho
The hotel is located very close to Gare de Montparnasse and the Air France coach stop (1 min on foot) for both Orly and CDG. The area is definitely not touristy and after dark quite dead. The proximity to metro and train (and the branch of Galeries Lafayette) is thus the main attraction. The room was very quiet and quite spacious, especially for Paris. Modern decor in dark colors is somewhat utilitarian but well designed. Complementary coffee/tea is offered but the minibar is automated with immediate charges for even touching the items so it cannot be used to store your own drinks. There is a very big warning on the bar. The bathroom is well appointed with good amenities. Fast internet connection is provided (extra charge) and it works. The staff in the reception very friendly; on our second stay they were overbooked and when we came the hotel had already a reservation made for us (for the same price) in Le Meridien just across the street.

Wonderful 3 star hotel

from augieToronto
My husband and I spent a week at the Bleu Marine Hotel in Montparnasse. Our room was larger than most European hotel rooms, and it was spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable and there was always lots of hot water in the shower / bathtub. The hotel was full when we were there, but we never heard any noise from the hallway or other rooms. The air-conditioning was good, but our windows did not open, and I would have preferred to get some fresh air.

The breakfast buffet, which was included in the price, consisted of scrambled eggs, sausages, various breads/rolls/croisants, cold cereals, fresh fruit, juice and coffee or tea.

The location was a ten minute walk from the Metro and the Gare Monparnasse railway station. The cab fare at night from various parts of Paris was seldom over 10 Euros.

The elevators were sometimes slow in coming. We were on the top floor (7th), so it was no great hardship to walk down the stairs.

The staff were always very accomodating and approachable. I would highly recommend this hotel, and would stay there again. One tip: Ask for a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower - there is no extra charge.

Incredible breakfast chaos!

Stayed there for 4 nights with a group of 30 Swedish art-entusiasts.
The hotel was OK according to room, service, and cleanliness and quite modern.
But 3 things was´nt OK.
1.To far from interesting places. Of course you could take the metro but taking it from Montparnasse- Bienvenue you had to walk at least 1 km. underground. The Gaité-station was to prefer.
2. Although we made appointment to have breakfast at a certain time we could be standing for 15 minutes in a que. Rather stressing if the bus is waiting for an excursion.
3. You had to leave your number of your Mastercard or Visacard to get able to phone from the room or to open the minibar.

But 500 metres from the hotel was an excellent Monoprix-warehouse (INNO) on the backside of Tour Montparnasse, open till 21.50 in weekdays.

Excellent business hotel

from A TripAdvisor Member
This was an excellent choice for the business traveler, located right near the Montparnasse train station. New accomodations and decor and very roomy for Paris. Serves American style breakfast if you are looking for more than the traditional Cafe et croissant. Prices are very reasonable (much less than the massive Le Meridien across the street. Friendly staff. Great Jazz dinner club across the steet - Le Petit Journal. Check it out if you are staying at the Blue Marine. Not your quaint Latin Quartier hotel that I'd recommend for a tourist, but perfect for the business traveler.

Fantastic view of the Eiffel Tower from our room

from frufrusue
My husband and I just got back from a short stay in Paris. We found the Bleu Marine exceeded our expectations. The hotel staff was friendly and efficient. The view of the Eiffel Tower was incredible! We walked to the Eiffel Tower the first night we arrived. It took about 45 minutes. Location wasn't central, but the metro is close by. Highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent 3* hotel

from tonymontana
Stayed there this past week. In terms of the hotel, it was modern, clean, quiet and comfortable. It's really and excellent 3* hotel and if you're not visiting Paris to hang around the hotel and you're not looking for something fancy or with "character", then this hotel is a good bet. As for location, in my opinion it was great. Access to anywhere in Paris was VERY easy through the bienvenue montparnasse gare/metro just a couple of blocks up the street. To/from anywhere in the city, there was either a direct line or no more than one connection. The hotel is also fairly close to a lively area of cafes/restaurants, etc.

Friendly, accomodating staff made it great!

My two granddaughters and I celebrated their graduation with a week's stay in Paris. The staff at the hotel and the services enriched our visit. They helped with bookings, transportation, directions and did it all with patience and good humor. We would all recommend it for young and older visitors to Paris.

This hotel is really a 4 star

from A TripAdvisor Member
This was our first time in Paris. My friends & I were pretty impressed with this hotel. Upon checking in, our room (a triple) was not ready and we were told it would be another hour. No biggie though; we left our things with the front desk and headed downstairs where we sat and relaxed. There we found immaculate washroom facilities as well as a spa and healthclub. After an hour passed, we attempted again to check into our room with success. The room had a queen size bed and one single bed with some of the thickest comforters I've ever seen. The matresses themselves were awesome-just the right amount of firmness. We had a spectacular view onto the main streets where they merge into a circle. There was a minibar, safe, and armoire to hang our clothes as well as a trouser press. A welcome tray (no xtra charge) was stocked everyday with buscuits, hot chocolate, coffee, & tea. The washroom was a nice size with a full bathtub-no dinky little shower stall here-and the shower head/water pressure rocked. Fresh towels and toiletries were stocked everyday so there was never a need to ask for anything. Maid service was definitely on top of things. The front desk was happy to oblige whenever we needed wake up calls and directions to places and I once used the laundry service for a pair of jeans that became dirty due to the rain. The service was a bit pricey, but hey, what isn't pricey in Paris? Breakfast is on the expensive side, about 13 Euro, so we opted to buy our breakfast at either a boulangerie (la Fournee d'Augustine was recommended to us by the hotel-& let me say, their croissants are out of this freakin' world) or a supermarket that were located on Rue Raymond Looserand, about a 5-10 min walk from the hotel. The Metro station Montparnasse-Bienvenue is about a 3 minute walk from the hotel and is extremely easy to figure out. We never took a taxi once but rather solely relied on the Metro to take us from place to place. Also, if you don't feel like venturing out, there is a cool lounge right off the lobby where they feature live jazz musicians or else they just play funky lounge music. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone-great location and wonderful staff. My friends & I would definitely not hesitate to stay here again :)

Fantastic place

This hotel was beautifully clean and well kept. The staff were friendly and informative. The room was well equipped and a good size. Breakfast was continental but there was plenty of choice and no limit to the amount you required. It's location was close to the Eiffel Tower and within easy walking distance of shops, restuarants and metro station. I would recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

Great Hotel for Business or Leisure - Easy Access to Everything

from A TripAdvisor Member
This visit to Paris is for business and found this hotel to be in a great location for various meetings in and outside of Paris. It is located next to the Monparnasse train station, making for easy access to both airports (bus drops 1 block from hotel), as well as other destinations by train or metro.

The hotel is decor is modern, with clean, well kept rooms and all amenities for the business or leisure traveler (including high speed DSL and WiFi access for a fee). I have found the staff very helpful and pleasant.

I will definitly stay here on future trips to Paris and highly recommend it to others.

Top Local Tips for Paris

Get up early The large crowds trying to get into the major tourist attractions leads to long queues (La Lourve, the Eiffel Tower etc). Get up very early and go to these places and rest in the afternooon.

Metro & Museum passes; BEST bakery Get a daily Mobilus card for 5.50 euro for unlimited ride within Zones 1-2. Get a museum pass for maximum value. BEST bakery is Pierre Hermes near St. Sulpice Church. Get ready to climb the stairs at Notre Dame.........440+ steps... it's a workout for sure.

Le France Great restaurant opposite the hotel.
