Will stay there again

I agree with all the reviews. The place was clean and the neighborhood was nice. I would stay there again and definitely recommend to others.

very nice budget hotel

from A TripAdvisor Member
I just came back last night from trip to Paris. Couldn't sleep due to jet lag. I found and chose this hotel based on all the reviews I read on Trip Advisor. This hotel was and everything that the reviews stated. The staffs were very nice. They spoke english. The triple room was very decent for a good price I got on Expedia. The metro accross street connects you to everywhere in Paris. We bought the Carte Orange weekly pass, which cost 15 euro for Zone 1 and Zone 2 (that's all you need). You can buy a separate ticket for Versailles. It's much cheaper to do it that way, bring a 1x1 photo to place on the card. The Carte Orange is meant for Parisiennes only, but they will sell it to you without asking for ID. Just learn how to make the purchase in French. you can use it from Monday to Sunday for unlimited rides on the Metro, RER, and Buses. Without the card, it could have cost us hefty for the entire week. There is a bus station is a few steps from the hotel, we used it to tour the city. It's much easier to walk to the hotel from the RER station. We took our 4 year old daughter and she loved it. I would stay here again when I come back to Paris.

Wonderful Budget Hotel!

I stayed at this hotel during October, 2004. This was a wonderful budget hotel! My room was very clean and spacious for a French budget hotel. I paid 95 Euros per night for my room. The neighborhood is safe and convenient for exploring Paris. As a female traveling alone, I felt safe walking around this neighborhood at night. Also, the Metro station is directly across the street. Grocery stores, shops, cafes, restaurants are all within walking distance of the hotel. There is an inexpensive internet cafe available on the way to the RER station. I used the RER train for transportation to CDG airport from the hotel. The RER train station is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. If you are going to Orly aiport, you only need to pay 6 Euros for the Orlybus that stops at the same RER station and takes you directly to Orly airport. I have made 10+ trips to Paris over the years and this hotel has become my new favorite budget hotel. I look forward to staying here again.

great little hotel

Great 3 star hotel stayed in a double room for two nights, room was clean and tidy fairly spacious for french hotel rooms, air conditioning was a bonus breakfast was nice and simple but got you started off for the day. Hotel is across the road from the metro very handy as one stop down takes you to all other stations over paris, hotel area very quite for noise, local bars and restaurants close bye, with local shops for drinks and snacks, Staff at hotel very polite and helpful, were able to leave our bags there even though we had a late flight that evening.

Very good three star hotel

from A TripAdvisor Member
This hotel was in a very good location both for sightseeing and for easy shopping. There is a grocery store one block away, and many restaurants within walking distance. Try to book a triple room with three single beds as the room is larger. The breakfast is a bit expensive, but a refill on the coffee was worth it. Also, for transport from the airport - if you have 3 or more people, it was less expensive to take a mini van taxi than it was for a shuttle service.

Perfect place to stay in Paris..

from VDR928
We were really impressed with this hotel at this price! It was spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds (three of us..took our 12 yr old son), plenty of hot water, lots of added extras, like q-tips and tissues in little pkgs..that you would not expect to find in this price hotel. The windows open out onto the street (noisy, but very interesting!) Even the bathroom had large french doors that can sit in the bath and enjoy the breeze (if you turn off the light!) Beautiful molding on the ceiling and all the amenities..air conditioning, TV (with CNN which we found English). There is a grocery store (Monoprix) across the street and a train station close by (stop right accross the street, also, but the RER is only about 2 blocks away. Restaurants close by, also. Safe neighborhood and staff speaks English! Would love to stay there again. Nice retreat after a hectic day sightseeing in Paris!!

Wonderful hotel...will stay there again!

I did a lot of research to find this lovely hotel right across from the #4 purple Metro line. The stop is called Mouton Duvernet. The hotel is situated in a quant residential neighborhood with lots of inexpensive stores near by. There’re couple of supermarkets called Ed where you can find cheap bottled water (Euro 0.45) and other French snacks just two blocks away from the hotel. The front desk agents were really helpful in recommending good French restaurants. The room was small compare to the US standard but we only slept in it for couple of hours and spent the rest of the day exploring Paris. We had a little balcony that over looked the side street, that was a plus. Only one train needed to get to the hotel from CDG airport. It’s the cheapest and fastest way to go. Cost about 7.60 EURO. You can ask for a Metro/RER map at the info booth at CDG. Just take the RER train #B3 blue line from CDG and get off at Denfert-Rochereau and the hotel is about 4 minute walk from the station. The journey should take about 50min. You can also connect to the #4 purple Metro line at Denfert-Rochereau with the same RER ticket and take it for one stop to Mouton Duvernet and it’ll leave you right across from the hotel. But just want you to know that there’s lots of tunnels & steps going up and down from the RER to the Metro at the Denfert-Rochereau station, you’ll better off just getting out at this station and walk to the hotel. I learn that the hard way.

Helpful Info: You get a free transfer from Metro to RER or RER to Metro. NEVER throw away your ticket because in some stations you need the ticket to get out of the station. And some times you need it to connect to another station. Get the Packet 10 metro ticket. It’s cheaper about 11 EURO. Most stores close on Sunday in Paris.

Good Deal in Paris

from Naturefreak
Great deal for the price. We stayed in a triple room for 2 nights and location can not be beat - safe area and steps from the metro. Our bath was the best part of the deal. Air conditioner worked well. Cool little perk - Qtip packs.

Different things - very, extremely small elevator - beds very low to the ground (but comfortable). Bed pillows were weird (small ones on the bed) but regular ones in closet.
Travelers tip - Great restaurant across the street from Notre Dame w/ view (everyone spoke English and were friendly). Got a fixed price at 18 Euro for a delicious meal - soup/salad, salmon w/veggies and delicious dessert. *Restaurants by tourist locations have english speaking waiters and descriptions or pic. by menu item. Bon Appetit!

Fabulous hotel at a great price

from A TripAdvisor Member
Spent two nights at this hotel just this week. Was very impressed by its location (just off the #4 line), cleanliness, and fabulous staff. Would highly recommend this hotel. It was great for me (29 years old), 6 year old daughter, and 61 year old mum. The hotel staff was wonderful and they did everything they could to ensure a fabulous visit.

Good location, nice feel and good price

from Globosapien
Stayed at this hotel over the Tour De France weekend. Good quality 3 star hotel, with all facilties that you need as a base for Paris. Location was good being right out front of the Metro station. Also plenty of cafes and supermarkets around if you are hungry.

Rooms are usual European size, but were comfortable and quiet. Air-conditioner certainly helped as well. Bathroom was clean and of a good size.

Would stay here again when next in Paris.

Top Local Tips for Paris

Steps and more Steps Pack light when using the public transportation system and plan on carrying whatever you have up and down multiple flights of stairs. Great shoes are a must!

Sightseeing in Paris The metro system is excellent in Paris. I recommend getting a metro map and keeping it in your pocket. It is an easy system to figure out! Paris Vision is a great outfit for booking a tour. We booked a day tour of Normandy from Paris and loved everything about it. The bus, the guide, the stops, the driver, the lunch...all were excellent.

Night Excursions Do the Eiffel Tower after sunset, it is amazing! Another good bet are the Seine River cruises that depart from the river just below the Eiffel Tower.
