Location is excellent, very close to Montmartre. Rooms are clean and functional. Not very big but it's Paris. I got a price of around 100 euros on expedia. Bathroom is clean. Staff is nice & polite. No complains. One point to mention is the beautiful staircase. It's made of old wooden steps. Very nice!

Well located, small rooms, no frills experience

I booked 3 double rooms for a friend's stag weekend, back in August 2004. The hotel was well located for the Pigalle, and Montmartre area. Most tourist sites are only a short metro ride away, especially with a metro station less than 50 metres from the hotel.
The reception area is nicely decorated, with twisted wire scupltures, and the staff are polite, although, it took them an absolute age to sort out the bill when it came to checking out. The lifts are small, and are really kitsch. The rooms we stayed in were really small, but then this probably has as much to do with booking the rooms through laterooms. The beds were small, and weren't particularly comfortable. The bathroom was a bit on the small side as well.
All in all, I would only return to this hotel if I had to book another stag do, as rooms are cheap and clean. This is not the place to stay if you want luxury, but just want a bed to sleep in.

Really great deal! Room was large, nice and clean with modern interior. Plus nice and large bathroom. Just only few walks to metro- st.georges. Very convenience for sight-seeing. Receptionists were friendly. Would stay again!

We just retuned from our stay at Lorette Opera, the hotel was very clean but even by europe standards very small rooms. We only had a few problems. The first night we were there we had a rip in our blanket which was quickly taken off but never replaced. We were there for five nights and after the first our shower room was never properly cleaned. The lobby is very well decorated with nice and helpful staff. The other problems we had were the tv was awful it didn't work while we were there and everytime we ordered coffee to our room we received a different price, breakfast is also not included and very expensive with not much being offered. Over all the hotel is nice enough great location if you don't mind walking nice staff but next time I might opt for a real 3 or 4 star hotel.

Kids paid for Xmas trip to Paris for two elderly!!! parents. Stayed two nights and thought accommodation was of very good standard for Paris. Rooms have recently been renovated, hotel staff polite and knowledgeable. Location was good, opposite metro station and short walk to Montmarte.
Would stay here again, but where are the kettles and coffee machines in France? Hotel could make life a little more comfortable by providing equipment to make tea or coffee in the rooms.

I have stay on many hotels, but this here was the greatest i ever been at. I have a nice weekend in Paris, so beatiful. You should try it. I will stay on Hotel Best Western Lorette Opera next time I go to paris.

great location and nice hotel but...

We stay in this hotel for 5 nights from 29 December 04 to 3 January 05.
The room was small and well furnished with security box and no have a mini bar. Restroom is ok with hair dresser. The 1st floor is light noisy. They cannot fix my window and i can't open it. Breakfast is almost sufficient and expensive and not included.
The hotel is very nice and very modern style furnished and the desk staff it is kindest.
Location is great. 50 steps from metro station n°12 saint georges. just down pigalle and sacre coeur churc at mont-mart.
Near the opera theatre, galeries lafayette, madelain churc. Very good location to make one walk at "rive droit" best places.

We stayed at the Best Western Lorette Opera for two nights (11/9 - 11/10). We were in London and decided to take the Eurostar to Paris for a couple of days. The Paris hotel we had planned to stay at was totally booked so I searched on TripAdvisor via the Internet at our hotel in London. The reviews looked good so we settled on the Lorette Opera. I booked directly on the Best Western website and the price was 82 Euros a night (without breakfast). The hotel is steps away from the St. George Metro stop and is within a 5 minute walk to the Moulin Rouge. The room was small but very clean and decorated in a very modern style. The bathroom was modern as well. We had a quiet corner room on the 4th Floor but the only thing that was noisy was the floor, which squeaked every time you stepped on it. I don't know if anyone was in the room directly below but you couldn't take one step without the squeeek. Staff service was nice. I would recommend this hotel highly for the nice accomodations, reasonable price and excellent location.

We chose this hotel because of the Tripadvisors reviews and were not disappointed. The room was spotless and bathroom sparkling . The hotel was modern and funky but also retained its charm . Staff were friendly would definately stay here again. The location was excellent next to metro and only 10mins walk from Galeries Lafayette.

Stayed at Lorette Opera for 3 nights on 28th October- really handy for metro St. Georges - nice clean modern hotel. Staff helpful and really enjoyed it. Filming going on all this week so beware- they change the name of the hotel for the filming!!!

Just arrived from Paris, (weekend 29 to 01Nov2004) I loved the hotel! Their deco is really modern and chic, 5 stars for the decoration! the staff is very helpfull and nice. The location is OK, really, really close to the metro station (Saint-Georges). I recommend this hotel, and I will surelly return there. The rooms are brand new and clean, I got a smaller room in the sixt floor, but I didn't mind cause it was cozy and had a great view to the real Paris, I opened the window and could feel like I could live there, you know, the buildings in front were beautifull, and we could see people dinning in the balcony at candle light, it was so romantic and authentic! There are some great brasseries and restaurants nearby, not too expensive like the one's you would find for example, in the Latin Quartier. 5 stars!
Top Local Tips for Paris
St Germain Du Pres Spend some time on the Left Bank wandering around vibrant St Germain Des Pres with its numerous cafes, restaurants, boutiques and art galleries. Have a glass of wine and a bite to eat at Les Deux Magots - a one time meeting place of famous writers and philospohers (Jean-Paul Sartre and Hemmingway amongst others!) is a tad expensive but worth it for the atmosphere and to sit across from the oldest Church in Paris!!
Use the Metro Don't waste your time and money on Taxis. Just get a book of Metro tickets and use that. Cheap, Quick and clean.
Eifel Tower So maybe I'm the only person in the world who didn't know this, but you have to take the North tower if you want to get the lift - otherwise you have to walk up all 300 odd steps, don't stand in line for 40 minutes before you realise that you're in the wrong queue - like us!
