Top Local Tips for Paris
fisrt time in paris I think Paris is of the destenations in which you do need at least 6 days to explore for us our itenerary was as follows: for the first day we explore the neighborhood and we went for Paris illumination and moulin oruge the best prices you can find are through france tourisme there staff are so helpful & friendly although moulin rouge is more a touristy place i do not like it a lot, the second day we visit versailles(audio guided tour) it was perfect and we use also farnce tourisme for such exusrion it wa like a private tour only me and my husband :), then we have three days of paris a la carte (l'open tour +batobus) it was a very good way to explore paris and it help us to visit eiffel, louvre, sacre coeur, notre dame, montmartre, champs elysees,latin quarter, etc, we spend a day at disneyland exusrion cityrama for 88 euro for the hopper ticket i think it is more reasonable to buy your ticket and use RATP, it is also possible to access studio parcs after 6 if you have one park access.
Save time and money!!!! When you get to Paris....purchase one of the Paris visite passes which is good for one, three or five days of unlimited travel on the metro, bus and RER systems. Also, if you plan to take the RER back to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport at the end of your trip, you should buy your RER tickets for the return when you arrive just so you have them on-hand. The RER ticket booths are not always open, and you have to purchase tickets from a machine...and if you don't have the correct change, good luck! I spent 30 minutes at Gare du Nord trying to make change from a 20 Euro bill. Best thing is to buy all of your transportation tickets at once...it saves your time from having to find a ticket booth and waiting in line if they are even open!
A must see! If you are in Paris you don't want to miss the Sacre Coeur area in Montmarte. There are little shops and painters painting and selling their works of art. If makes a fun half day.
