Top Local Tips for Paris
Wallking about We walked quite a bit and I would recommend this as the best way to see Paris if you can. We walked as far as Notre Dam and half way back to our hotel by the Arc d Triomph. One day we took the subway out and walked back and the next did just the opposite.The lines for the Eiffel Tower can be very long and I suggest that you try it much earlier than we did at 11 AM on a Sunday. The subway's are clean and easy to get around in.
View the Eiffel Tower from the Arc de Triomphe at 10:00 pm when it sparkles Climb the Arc de Triomphe in the evening and wait until 10:00 hr when the Eiffel Tower sparkles with hundreds of lights for 10 minutes. Well worth waiting for.
Metro Purchase enough tickets when you arrive to last your stay, best of all walk everywhere.
