Perfect
I found this hotel to be perfect for a young couple who were busy enjoying Paris and not sitting in the room all day. The room was the perfect size and was cleaned daily ( and we left it quite messy! ) It even has a spare bed if you have a fight!! The building is full of charachter with a small cute lift! It was right next to Blanche Metro Station which was our lifesaver for getting around Paris. The staff are friendly and speak perfect English. They are extremely helpfull!
All in all I would go back to stay there in a heartbeat! 5*

Positively surprised
We were very scared after reading some of the reviews the day before we were going to Paris. However, we were surprised in a good way after our arrival.
The room was big enough for two and clean. The bathroom was clean with fresh towels every day and the room had a small refrigerator. There is no aircondition, but that was not a problem in February. I do understand that it is probably not the best place to stay during the summer.
The staff were all very helpful and kind and made us feel both looked after and safe.
The area is not a particular good one per se, but if you walk for only 5 minuts you reach very nice and good locations like Montmartre. The Metro stop is Blanche and it is 3 minuts away from the hotel. However, the hotel is placed in the beginning of a somewhat dodgy area, so I totally understand why some would feel a bit startled.
We payed 300 EUR for a double-room for four nights including breakfast, so it is incredibly cheap and you have to take that under considera...Read more

Dirty & small
When I presented my voucher to the hotel clerk for the reserved room, I was told they were booked but he would place me at a sister hotel down the street. The sister was a flop house with a room no bigger than 8feet square. The bed was a matress on the floor and the bath was filthy. Stay away from this plcae.

No Frills
I read the reviews, but still was not prepared for the large closet style room on 1st floor. Room was small, hot, no shower head, only hand held shower with broken bracket. Window opened up to sitting room off lobby. We were only there at night to sleep, for 2 nights, so not that bad. The breakfast was coffee, juice, and bread with jam. The help at night were professional, but the day manager/owner was not. Definitely a 1-2 star only.

Drop 3 stars to 1!
We spent here three nights in the beginning of july 2006. Three stars are definately too much, one star would be accurate. Very small and hot rooms. Separate beds, as double bed was promised, no minibar, no safety box, no room service as promised. No room cleaning after the first night, not even the beds were done. The breakfast was typically French, that is: almost nothing. We don't recommend this hotel to anyone!
