We stayed here for 10 days. Basic, but the room was clean, sheets changed daily. The windows opened and the bathroom was cleaned daily. It was July into August so the temperature was 32 and we had to leave the fan on all night (no air-con). The position is absolutely fabulous and the staff friendly and obliging.

I stayed 10 days in this hotel...cigarette smoke on the halls, even if I paid the hotel they blocked my money on my card without telling me this and I had big problems. Very unfriendly owner. Dirty rooms. Do not go to this hotel

The Acacias hotel de ville in Paris is well located but I found the room small, and it had one of the smallest double beds I have ever seen (or slept in). The room was so small that when the suit case was open there was virtually no where to stand. We asked for another room and staff claimed that the hotel was full (it was half full at best) and that it would take a day or two to find another room. Eventually, after about 24 hours and another uncomfortable night, we were put in a room with two single beds which was better, and the room was bigger. But I know there were better rooms in the hotel and I don't understand why we weren't given one. In the end it was not worth the argument as our stay wasn't that long. I've since been told that when staying in Europe you should always inspect the room first, and if it is not good enough, demand another room. Judging by my experience, if you are considering staying in this hotel you should definitely adopt that strategy.
