Stunningly beautiful hotel

Stayed at the Negresco Hotel, Nice, as part of a Grand Prix in Monaco trip. Now this hotel dates back to 1912 but has been beautifully looked after and is stunning. Lots of memorabilia in glass cases and has a very interesting history. Everywhere is just sparkling and well maintained and welcoming to come back to in the lounging areas, even if you thought the drinks are more than you want to pay. The breakfast/dining area is like a fairground theme, with a merry go round setting, very unusual. Breakfast had a good selection, although not quite as good a selection as other hotels I have been in, but still great. Our bedroom was very ornate with a very heavy patterned wallpaper in blue swirls, which made us laugh, but we were on the corner of the hotel and overlooked the park at the side and the beach and promenade at the front. Brilliant. I cannot comment about the price, as I say it was a package with the Grand Prix deal.
