Top Local Tips for Nice

Barcelona Airpot Renaissance by Marriott It's the ONLY hotel anywhere near the airport, and fairly pricey (125 euros, plus taxes or about $180 US). Beds are hard and bathroom lighting poor, but the bathtub's long. They have a free shuttle to/from the airport where you can then catch a bus into town for about $6. The hotel also has a FREE shuttle service a few times a day to and from Plaza Catalunya (downtown) and Plaza España (base of the hill which leads to the 1992 Olympic Park). From those, you can get about anywhere in the city via the Metro system. We were there learly May and enjoyed jnice weather and all the green spaces. Did the hop-on-hop-offbus tour that hits the major sites--about $24 US. Delightful place pre- and post-cruise!
