Top Local Tips for Nice

Getting to the GP, Monte Carlo If you are going to the GP ensure that you get an early train. The trains don't stop en route to Monaco and the train station gets very busy. We stood all the way, but the ride is at a good steady speed and you don't fall all over the place. The staff are fabulous though at the train station - they let people through in stages, be patient but you get through without damaged shins!! Ensure you get the return train ticket a few days before qualifying and the race, which is what we did after going to Monaco on the Friday to walk down the pits. On the way back AFTER the race, you don't go back through the train station so if you wanted any memorabilia after the race you can't get it from the shop in the train station, so get it beforehand. You are lead back to the train station via a tunnel which is a great experience and again it is done in stages. All in all an excellent exerience.

nice rather than monte carlo If you are staying in this area stay in nice and visit monte carlo, as nice is a much more chilling place to have a short break

private beach the private beach "the Lido" is well worth it - lovely food, service, facilities
