Basic hotel but very helpful and friendly staff

We came across this hotel at random, in the middle of Montpellier's brutally hostile one-way system - we accidentally blocked the entrance to an adjacent parking garage while talking to the receptionist!

The hotel has some private parking in an old building 5 mins walk away, behind the bus station. This was satisfactory in the end, but unlocking the garage door without blocking the street was a bit taxing.

The receptionist was very helpful - she gave us a map of the town and wrote on it the areas we should visit to find a restaurant. We ended up at the Instant Gourmand in the Rue des Tessiers which was excellent and cheap.

The Hotel was better and cheaper than expected from a city-centre two-star.
