Top Local Tips for Menton
Train Service We arrived at Nice airport and got the train from Nice St. Augustin to Menton Garavan which took about 45mins the station at Menton being 5 mins from the hotel. Be warned that the only tricky part of this was the 15 mins walk from the airport to the station so make sure your luggage has wheels! As well as being really cheap and easy as a form of transport the actual journey itself is filled with beautiful views! The train skirts the coast for almost the entire route giving you views you couldn't otherwise get by car. Considering the cost of the ticket it's worth it for this alone! The other advantage of using the train is that the last stop is in Ventimille, the first town over the border in Italy. You can then change here and get trains all over the country making it really cheap and easy to do.
Lights over the bholiday period Menton during the Christmas period was lite in avery attractive way. tye centre was bright and lively in the evening. We also enjoyed the gardens.
