Top Local Tips for Megeve

The Village Take good warm [Fur} clothes for the evening- this is not a place to stay in ski clothes. Always book a restaurant for dinner. Have lunch one day at the Igloo [ top of Mont D'Arbois]. Ski early before the snow gets cut up and the ski schools come out.The best restaurants are not necessarilly the most expensive- would recommend The Prieure [next to the church] and the Grenier , The Megeve Bistro is also worth a visit particularily if you like Dover sole. A car is not necessary at this resort as the village is entirely a pedestian precinct and the skibus system is excellent. Good for older people and those with younger children , the general set up does not cater to teenagers and those in their twenties looking for bars/discos/clubs.

Getting from Geneva Airport We took a taxi from Geneva Airport to this hotel but the bus would arrive right next to the hotel so it would also do and would have been cheaper.
