charged for room paid in cash 1 week after we left
We arrived at the hotel very late on Sept 11, therefore, it would have really been Sept 12. We said that we wanted to pay for our room for both nights at that point so we would have to worry about it. Our confirmation stated it was 170 euro (85/night) for 2 nights but we were charged 172.18 euro (86.09/night) because of the city tax. We paid the full amount. On the 13th of Sept we left and handed in our keys. We left our bags in the hotel after we checked out to see a bit more of the city. At no point did anyone mention that we owed money.
I received my creditcard statement the following month and saw that there was a charge for one night at the hotel. I phoned to find out what happened and all I was told was that I didn't pay for both nights. I explained the situation and asked why they would have let me leave without asking me to pay if I had not.
