Top Local Tips for Marseille

Marseille I was pleasantly surprised by this city; it has been selected as the European city of culture for 2013, so there will be lots going on. We were warned on a couple of occasions by the locals to be careful of our bags, as pickpockets are about. Everyone was very pleasant and friendly. The only one downside was a Chinese restaurant, which was awful! I can't recall the name of it, but it was on the first floor and had a balcony overlooking the street. The service was bad, the food was cold and unappetising, and the staff were distinctly disinterested.
