Poor Hotel
We were met by the 2 owners(I think) smoking outside the front door. We were checked in quickly and our room was at the front. The stair carpet was many years ago clean, now it is very dirty and stained. Our room was ok but smelt of smoke. The general condition was run down and it is desperately needing some TLC. The staff were ok but need to be a bit more enthusiatic. Dirty dishes on the breakfast table left for a couple of hours etc. There must be better 2 star hotels in La Rochelle. A final thought do not sleep with your windows open as you get mosquitoes from the canal.
