We found this hotel fantastic value for money. Couldn't better the location --right on the piste--- so ski in ski out.The slope outside although blue was reasonably steep and could be icy first thing but got the adrenaline going early !!
Meals in the restaurant which were included in the price were very nice and the staff were very helpful. This was our second stay there and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The weather was perfect and our room was overlooking the valley with two balconies and a little extra viewing room - great for relaxing with a glass of wine at the end of the skiing day.

Good place in a beautiful surrounding
We stayed with 8 grown ups in a 4 room and good equiped apartment next to a family room of the hotel, which meant that we had to deal with the music of celebrations that were not announced. The building is next to the piste, shops are on walking distance. You can leave the car in the parking garage beneath the building. The appartment was very hot, but gave enough space for all of us. Advises: if you would like to have a telephone connection in the apartment you must ask for it at your arrival. The use of the swimmingpool and sauna is not for free and where to find the place is not indicated.
Stayed at Les Balcons from 20th-27th Jan. 2007 Apartment lacked basic facilities such as, towel rails in bathroom absolutely no where to hang wet towels, no where to put clothes in bedrooms, again no hooks on walls to hang anything. Apartment even with the radiators turned off was far too hot. No mirrors in bedrooms, no shavor points in bathrooms, If some one was too spend a little money putting these basic things right then it would transform the apartment from fair to good. If you are going to stay here then I suggest you pack some of your own hooks.

Great Location and Good Accomodation
Went to La Plagne and stayed in Les Balcons on a self catered basis. This was our third holiday in chalets in the French Alps and in terms of location with its ski in ski out location it could not be beaten, although the piste outside the chalet was a blue it was quite steep and was often icy in the morning and slushy in the afternoon. The chalet was well appointed with good facilities. We did not use the pool or the fitness suite so can't comment on these but the Maitre Kanter restaurant on the first floor was excellent and catered for the kids well too. Only a short walk to the shops, we used Sport 2000 for our ski hire and they were excellent and the best value we could find on the net. All in all good value and would recommend for families and groups.
