Had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Collin in May 2010 for two nights. My family and I found them to be very friendly, and the rooms were comfortable and clean, although certainly old style. The service and comfort offered by this alleged two star establishment(I would rate it higher), certainly outshone a Hotel we had the displeasure of staying at in Calais(a big name) . The quality of the food in the restaurant was top notch and their Blueberry tart would have to be the best I have ever tasted anywhere. The food was frankly magnificent. One could easily spend more time in the area, and I would certainly not be averse to basing myself at this Hotel for any future visits to the Alsace region, with more nights spent at the establishment. I plan to return in the future and will enquire as to the ownership/cook. The only slight negative that could be noted is the small bathrooms in some of the rooms. However, it is a very small town, and quite frankly the old style of the Hotel adds to its charm. A very nice place to stay in the opinion of some almost well travelled Aussies.
