A beautiful Chateau, surrounded by a moat with swans, and ducks. Our room was in the the chateau, and did not dissapoint, The newer orangery where the restaraunt was housed was also very nice, and the rooms there were a little larger with TV's. The food was excellent expensive but well worth it, I would definatly go again. The only minus was lack of a bar.

Avoid the dark rooms Apparently there is a huge variance in the Prestige rooms at this hotel. As I mentioned in my review, definitely avoid Saladin and Byzance and enquire thoroughly about the rest before booking. Also, book the restaurant in advance as front desk will simply tell you it's full and leave you in the lurch with no suggestion of an alternative.

nice weather in nov quiet and pleasant to travel in november, not too cold , not too many tourists!

Gates are Locked at Night They lock the front gate at about 8:00 pm, so make sure you have the gate code if you plan to arrive late or come back from dinner late!
