Top Local Tips for Courbevoie
Metro most people really worry when it comes to using the underground but if you do your revision before you go it makes your stay so much easier. If you make a list of all the places you want to go and the stops you need to get off at then you'll find you'll get much more done. If you go down into any metro stop and ask the staff for a 2 day paris traveller ticket for zones 1-3 you can visit everywhere. You can use the underground as much as you want in them 2 days (you can get tickets for longer periods and that cover more zones). And don't worry about it being spooky or dodgy. All the trains are of lovely quality and make for a comfy journey and all the stations are busy so you don't feel scared. I really recomend using the metro if your stay is only short but you want to get lots done.
Don't be scared to use the Metro Before i went, loads of my family and friends told me that they wouldn't dare go on the metro. However i knew that the metro was going to be the quickest way to get around and i was used to using the london underground so i thought it couldn't be that much different. And it wasn't! So long as you do your homework before you go and write down a list of all the places you want to see and the metro stops you need to get off at it can be as easy as ABC. There's nothing to worry about, all the stations are much cleaner than the london ones and it's very busy all the time so you wouldn't be left alone on a train. If your worried about how to open the doors or what to do with your tickets just watch the locals. We found it was much quicker and really cheap to get around. If you go up to any ticket office in the metro and ask for a 2 day paris tourist card for zones 1-3, you can get to all the main tourist attractions for just 13 euros. And you can jump on and off the metro as much as you want!
metro print a copy of the metro map before you go as its the quickest and best way to travel in paris and as soon as you arrive but a carnet of tickets (10 tickets) this allows you to travel from 1 side of paris to the other for 1 ticket or sometimes 2 - excellent value and it only costs 10e
