where to eat The best restaurant for dinner is Le Tourisme. It was splendid. Great food, great service, great location. There is also some informal food markets near camping areas around the outskirts of town that are great bargains - we ended up eating breakfast and dinner at these - fresh baguettes, fruit, drinks, roast chicken etc. Restaurants are pricy and be careful of the restaurants with great views as we were disappointed with the food quality.

Cala Rossa If you get a chance, go to Cala Rossa beach just north of Porto Vecchio. If you can afford to, stay at the Grand Hotel de Cala Rossa for an incredible luxury experience, but if not, just enjoy the beautiful public beach which is secluded, quiet and has an amazing view across the gulf of Porto Vecchio.
