U Fornu: delightful Corsican restaurant U Fornu is just up a few steps from Blvd Wilson. Inside, it's a grey-on-grey modern ambiance with an excellent menu of Corsican specialties at a moderate price. Everythingis made on the premises, and the staff is delightful, too.

rent a car in advance We went to Calvi at the beginning of May, the season starts on the 15th of June, we've been told. We wanted ti visit Porto, but we found out there is no bus or trrain to Porto until 15of June. We had to rent a car and it was very expensive; it would have been much cheeper should we rented it in advance.
