A great family hotel. The couple managing it are nice,decent and forthcoming. The family-room is comfortable (we were a family of four). The hotel is perfectly situated for a tourist willing to absorb the jams Caen has to offer.
One slight caveat: the walls are almost transparent, thus any movement of furniture, as well as an above-whispering conversation, might irritate some sensible non-willing participants in adjacent rooms. Alas, this defect prevented me from offering 10.

Falaise Make the bus or car trip to Falaise, our day at William the Conquerors other castle was fantastic, great for kids, the only time I wished I had my kids with me, also a nice country town.
