Excellent Hotel, great position, great food. Niceley furnished if rather small rooms for the money. Excellent bar area with wonderful open fire. Wine list though was dire. We had to pay 45 euros to get something I didn't want to spit out, and it was not a patch on a decent £5 bottle of Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon from Tescos. Going back though with a view to negotiating corkage!

Top Local Tips for Avoriaz

Prodain cable car Rather than getting dropped off at the resort centre, it is easier anc closer to be dropped off at the bottom of the Prodain cable car and walk to the hotel. You can hire green sledges for 1 Euro, to put your bags in and then the journey is up the public asceneur, at the top turn right and the hotel is on the left. Very easy and avoids all the haipin bends on the way up if you are get car sick.However, if you are infirm don't consider this, it is uphill!
