Welcome
We arrived in Annecy with no accommodation and were directed to the Hotel Du Chateau by Tourist Information. Good move: We were made to feel welcome in a well run clean, comfortable 2* Yes the ramp is steep but apart from that it was good.

Large room & comfortable beds
My daughter and I stayed here at the end of June - staff is very helpful; hotel is extremely convenient to sightseeing and restaurants; lovely view from terrace. BUT the "ramp" is a very steep but short climp down - this could be a problem for those with mobility issues. Our room was quite large, bathroom recently redone, comfortable beds. Drawbacks: no AC and we were there during an unusually warm week. Even with windows open and a fan the room did not cool off enough to be comfortable for sleeping. Also, we were awakened through the night by folks walking back up to the parking lot just above the hotel. I would return here but probably not during warm weather when windows would need to stay open.
