Just found this today, Jan 07 and it reminded me of a really excellent one night stay in this welcoming hotel in the beautiful village square.
Watching a very intense boules match in the early evening alongside the hotel was a great appetiser for a marvellous meal. Red wine, Breton caps, a couple of 2CV's parked under pollarded trees all added to the pre -meal atmosphere.
his is a lovely clean hotel with warmly welcoming staff in a quiet part of France. Brit influence unfortunately( one charming little house being called Lavender Cottage- get a life!!) but swallows nesting in the hotel eaves made up for such incongruences.
Do visit or better still stay at L'Etape Gasconne which makes a mid-priced high-quality base from which to explore.
