Top Local Tips for Aix En Provence

A great way to spend an afternoon/evening My husband and I enjoyed an afternoon in the nearby town of La Ciotat, where we got on a boat for a 3-hour tour of the Calanques, cliffs on the gorgeous Mediterranean Sea. Even though the tour guide's occasional comments were in French (we don't speak that beautiful language), we thoroughly enjoyed the scenery, and the blue skies and water of the Mediterranean. There are lots of cafes on the harbor that you can enjoy for lunch before the tour. Afterward we headed to Cassis, a much more up-scale town with more gorgeous sea views and lots of restaurants to have wonderful seafood or other Provencal favorites. It was a great place to end a fantastic day!
