Oldest rooms need updating

We have just come back from a week at the Crazy Reindeer hotel. We had a fantastic week but found that the accommodation was a bit of a let down. We were placed on the ground floor of the oldest block (Crazy block). The rooms are in need of some updating but are kept very kleen and the beds are very comfortable. The onl snag was that the so called extra bed for my 12 year old son was infact a fold out arm chair and he said that it wasnt all that comfortable.
The food however was good and the hotel has a very laid back and relaxed atmosphere.
Would definately go back to Levi again but may give this hotel a miss as it was quite expensive and did not feel like good value for money.
Didn't spoil the holiday though. Levi is an absolutely fanatstic place and we love it.

Cold but great

Ok its cold - it's in the Arctic Circle what do you expect. Friendly, a bit pricey so don't go there for a boozy après ski. Excellent food. Fri and Sat nights can be a bit noisy as the locals converge but overall thoroughly recommend it.

Overall a very pleasant hotel to stay. Location excellent for facilities. Rooms clean, food of good quality and much to choose from.

Top Local Tips for Levi Kittila

Things to do! Take a break from skiing and take a chance to do some other excursions, best value is to book them through your travel agent-do not go on Aurora Safaris, a waste of money!

Santa Trip For a Santa trip from Levi you have three main options - 1. Santa Park (near Rovanmeni sp?). This is at least a 2 hour coach trip from Levi. Every single family I spoke to who had been on this trip were disappointed. Very commercialised and poor value for money. Avoid if you can. 2. 'The search for Santa' bookable at the Tourist Infomation centre in Levi. This is the trip we took. It is about a 20 minute coach ride from Levi. Not perfect but really good none the less. Slightly commercial and on the day we went although there was only our coach there it did seem a little crowded. But no way were we disappointed. Not the highlight of our trip for the adults but it certainly was for the kids. 3. Auroa Safaris search for Santa. This is bookable from their office in Levi or in advance on line. We did not do this trip but I spoke to many people who had and the overwhelming response was 'Excellent' for both adults and children.

Excursions 2 hour snowmobile ride- recommeneded ...... Reindeer ride- recommended..... elf day- recommended.... huskies- not recommended (you have to drive them by yourself)
