Rovaniemi, Santa Village If you want to meet Santa and want to avoid the crowds, ensure you arrive to Santa Village early in the morning!!!! Keep in mind that if you still face the crowds in Santa Village, the first line to Santa house is only to book your time for the actual visit (free). You will receive a ticket showing the time when your visit is scheduled. Allow another 1-2 hours before you are done with the visit!!! You are not allowed to make your own photos of Santa – the pictures are made by the local staff and sold to you for EUR 30 per five copies (you can’t purchase just one picture: five or none)
Clothing in Lapland When planning your trip, you should not worry too much about buying lots of thermal clothing – on each activity you will be provided with special clothing (rather good quality and condition – included in the activity price) by the organizing company. Make sure that you have warm socks (cotton and wool) and, most of all, gloves, as hands and feet are the areas that suffer freezing even however warm you are dressed!
