Friendly staff and fabulous location
I am travel agent myself and have stood in quite many hotels all over the world. This is absolutely charming place to stay. Each room has balcony with a view to an ancient river valley unite nature. In Bernhard there is very friendly staff and very good kitchen. Highly recommended!! Maybe just furniture in rooms is a little bit 'tired' but rooms are very clean and in good condition!

Nice stay in Bernhard Hotel Otepaa, Estonia
In July 2004 I stayed 4-5 nights with my husband in Bernhard Hotel. Charming place -both the hotel, Lake Pyhajarvi and Otepää! A spaceous room with own balcony overlooking a small lake/pond - very near to the big lake Pyhajarvi. The hotel offers many kinds of packages and outdoor excursions. e.g canooing. We hired bikes with picnic package and it was wonderful biking around the beautiful and not-crowded small roads and lakes in lovely south-Estonian country side atmosphere, so relaxing. In hotel an afternoon coffee with home-made pancakes from room service in our own balcony, nam-nam!
I just cannot resist the temptation of Otepaa and this summer we are going to travel there again with our frends - I do hope that we succeed in getting rooms in Bernhard Hotel!
