This hotel offers good value. Clean rooms, good food and the apartments are worth the money. When in Kardla the Padu is the place to stay.

I stayed in this hotel with my family while touring the west coast of Estonia. It's not awful, but there are many better hotels in the region. Hotel Padu was the cheapest on our trip (which included Tallin, Haapsalu, Kardla, and Kuresaare). However, at around 50 Euros per twin room, it could have been much better. The grumpy old owner stared at us every time we walked in or out. And he was a total cheapskate! We caught him peeling some uneaten cheese from a guest's breakfast plate, and placing it back on the buffet. The Lonely Planet said Hotel Padu was the place to go for a little luxury. I don't think so! Oh, and the rooms need some serious redecorating.
