comfortable
Helpful staff. Hotel situated on the coast, near a nature reserve. Fantastic sunsets over the Baltic. Hotel used as a conference centre and is open all year. Moderately priced. Restaurant serves traditional meals, with a twist...Ice cream with black pepper. Most unusual, but it strangely works!

Formal but friendly
Enjoyed staying three nights in this nicely renovated hotel, lots of pastel greens and art deco touches. It used to be the Soviet army HQ in Tartu. It is within easy walking distance of the bus station (that's why the cab driver was surprised when I unknowingly got him to drive me the 5 or so blocks. Breakfast was more than adequate but could not get a table in the restaurant for dinner, pity because it's an authentic Estonian restaurant.
