The noise was unbearable as the craftsmen was working on all floors at the same time.
We had booked a day of spa treatment that cost 700 DKR pr person (70) and asked where the pool and sauna was. We were told there was none, they where out of order, the "spa" was in a room that someone has rented on the third floor and gave treatments/massage. After this information I wanted to cancel our appointment but where not allowed. I was toldt it was too late. So I took my newly bought swimming suit and went to the third floor for treatment. When noon had opened the door after waiting fifteen minutes past booked time I went back to the reception and ones again the receptionist said "sorry".
The room was freezing and we went to have our prepaid dinner. On arrival the waitress told us there was only two courses and we had no choice. Salmon as an appetizer and beef as main course. (No place for vegetarians). In the dining room there was a large party of people on a conferance and they had been served this meal. The trays on which they had been served was taken to the kitchen and soon we had some suspicius looking salmon and potatoes directly from the refridgirator, cold with stale grease. After a small tast the waitress was told to take the food out. The main cource was also served cold on hot plates and it was painfully ovious that it was the left overs from the conferance meal. When this also was taken out by the waiteress without us eating, she offered some icecream and coffee.
The next morning the carpenters started working at eight, no time for sleeping late here. As we had told the reception we would not stay more than one night we packed and went to the reception to check out. The receptionist informed me the she had deducted the cost of the meal last night on our bill, I said thank you but as I was giving her the credit card I saw on the bill that she had done no such thing. When I pointed this out she blushed and said "I will deduct it again". As she gave me the new bill I was informed that she also had "deducted the charges on the spa-treatment" which we never got. Thank you!! Apart from that the bill was at standard rate for a four star hotel.
